Izzy and Aspen are about 3 months apart. They have lots of fun together.
Mitchell is about 6 months behind Izzy. He'll catch up soon enough! He really enjoyed himself!

Friday Night Family Dinner

Last Friday night we got together with a few of our friends with children. We all met at a Thai restaurant in town. The place has great food and a cafeteria like atmosphere. We thought it was a great place for our families to get together- loud and crazy- so as not to offend any of the other patrons with babies screaming- even if the only people screaming were the adults!

Moon Boots???

When I found out I was having a baby boy, I knit the blue pair of booties that Mitchell is wearing in the picture above. I think they look a little like moon boots...

It was over 70 degrees in Fort Collins on Saturday. It was so nice! Anna and I took Mitchell outside to enjoy the weather. He was walking in the grass, which is still dead for the most part- so it was really prickly on his feet.
I am trying to get him interested in nature! Here, we examine a pine cone.

Daddy's 32nd birthday

TJ turned 32 on Monday. His parents were here and we went to the Moothouse for dinner. Mitchell was so good. He sat in his pumpkin seat for some of dinner- the restaurants now a days can turn the high chairs upside down so that the baby seats fit snugly into them. So he was propped up at the dinner table with us. Sharing a glass of Cabernet with us. After he had enough of that, I held him and he fell asleep in my arms. Like the little angel that he is! He never cried once- which was a completely different story from the last time we were at the Moothouse. That was the night of his 2 month well check. His Tylenol wore off 1/2 way through dinner. We left in a hurry!
Mitchell is eyeing the cake that Kris baked for TJ. He was really interested in the candles after we lit them and turned off the light.

Shannon and John's Visit

Mitchell is so happy in the mornings. He loves to play with this activity center. He will lay there forever just grabbing and talking to his toys that hang from above.
He's so smiley. As you can tell, he's really into it!

Shannon and John's Visit

Mitchell doesn't know what to think of his first taste of a strawberry.
Mitchell and Uncle John size each other up. Uncle John knows how to handle baby boys. He's got two big boys of his own. DJ and Willie still need to come and visit their cousin!

He's so ticklish. It's really fun. We have to remind ourselves to not do it too much!

Shannon and John's Visit

Aunt Shannon is quite the photographer. She was clicking away all weekend. Above is a family picture from our back deck.
Mitchell has had enough fun for one day. He's ready to turn in.

Wow- I have so Many Aunts and Uncles!

There's never a dull moment in the McManus house. This weekend Aunt Shannon and Uncle John came to visit us and meet little Mitchell for the first time.

He's have a very in depth political discussion with Grandmother Katie and Uncle John. Can you tell he's really getting into it?

Mitchell is all decked out for St. Patrick's day, as is his mother and Aunt Anna- who we have affectionately nicknamed Aunt Banana or Bananta for short.

Anna is instilling in Mitchell a great fear for ducks.

It got cold quickly (just the 50's), so we dressed Mitchell in his new fleece snow suit. It was given to him by Grandma RaRa and it kept him snug as a bug in a rug.

Saturday evening we visited our friends at Horsetooth Reservoir. They rented a cabin there and we all made dinner together. We had a photo session with the lake in the background. Mitchell was hamming it up dressed for St. Patrick's Day.

I bought the hat for him two weekends ago thinking it would last him well into his sixth month. I now believe he has made vast strides in head circumference since his last doctor's appointment. I'll know for sure after today because this afternoon is his 4 month check up.

OshKosh Baby

Every day is another chance to dress Mitchell is something fun. He's shown me that I do not need to have a girl to demonstrate my love of fashion.

Mitchell's favorite thing to do right now- after eating and sleeping is standing. He's getting really good at it!
